Pacing at the bundle of His (HBP) is not a new idea, but after years of pausing in the waiting room, it has become emerging electrotherapy for the heart. This pacing technique enables both heart chambers to be captured by the use of a conductive system below the atrioventricular node. Furthermore, the heart’s conduction system does not have to be in good condition.
HBP treats and prevents complications of right ventricle pacing, protects the tricuspid valve, and may be an alternative to standard resynchronization therapy.
